Nokia 8.3 5G - The Budget King?

Nokia 8.3 5G is an excellent budget mobile in the upper-middle segment from Finnish HMD Global that compromises in the right areas.
The competitive category of budget mobiles in the middle segment means that it has a hard time standing out in the crowd.

HMD Global, like competitors Motorola and Xiaomi, is very good at developing just this type of mobile phone at affordable prices.

Nokia 8.3 is a very well-built, solid smartphone with metal edges and a glass back.
The glass back piece reflects light slightly, which gives it a unique look rather than just a single matte color.
The fingerprint sensor is located in the power button on the right long side so that you can wake up the display and unlock it with a push.
The display is unusually large with thin frames around except for the chin then which is a little thicker than it is with many other mobile phones. It does not fully follow today's design trends with extremely thin frames around the displays in all directions.

Nokia 8.3 has a 6.8-inch LCD display with a 20: 9 aspect ratio and it has 1080 × 2400 with 386 PPI (pixels per inch).
The display is of good quality but lacks an important function today, namely a higher image update frequency.

The processor is an eight-core Snapdragon 765G processor at 2.4 GHz and it is, among other things, the one that makes this smartphone end up in the upper-middle segment.
The processor is relatively powerful and fast, in fact, powerful enough for most users and it is efficient so it consumes less battery than the processors that sit in the expensive flagship mobiles. The processor easily handles everyday tasks and it works great as a gaming mobile even when playing more technically demanding mobile games.

The RAM memory is 6 GB and the internal memory is 64 GB with the possibility to expand the memory capacity with a memory card. This is the base model and there is a better variant with a RAM memory of 8 GB and an internal memory of 128 GB. My recommendation is to invest in the better variant if you have the financial opportunity because it is so much better than the base model.
The front camera lens is 24 Megapixels and is a wide-angle lens.

On the back are four camera lenses of 64 Megapixels (Wide angle lens), 12 Megapixels (ultra-wide-angle lens), a Macro lens of 2 Megapixels, and finally a depth sensor of 2 Megapixels. The cameras have Carl Zeiss optical and come with autofocus, PDAF, and dual-LED flashes.
The camera quality is good but without being able to
compete with the very best on the market but it is quite possible to take some impressive pictures in good conditions.

This mobile phone offers some good specifications for the price including the large, clear 6.8-inch display which is perfect for watching movies while on the go or playing mobile games.
The operating system Android 10 and is an Android One device which means a pure version of the system that is guaranteed to receive updates for many years to come.
The battery is 4500 mAh and supports 18W fast charging.

The battery size in combination with the impressive optimization of the Android operating system and the power of the processor results in fantastic battery life. The mobile phone is large so you can fit a large battery, which means at least a day and a half on one charge.

Nokia 8.3 5G is designed to last a long time, both in terms of the design itself and in terms of operating system updates, while having the specifications that most people can handle. This is a very good mobile phone but at the same time, many other options offer similar features at a lower price, such as OnePlus Nord, Motorola Moto G 5G Plus, or Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite.

The Nokia 8.3 5G costs Rs. 47000/- and it is the base model that has that price tag. As a comparison, OnePlus Nord costs Rs 27000, Motorola Moto G 5G Plus Rs. 29490, and Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite costs Rs 24090. For what reason should you choose a Nokia 8.3 5G when you get more mobile for the money if you choose one of those phones instead? What does Nokia have to offer that matches the higher price? A larger battery and a clean operating system are a couple of examples, but do they outweigh the higher price?
