Fix Xiaomi Button Not Working, Cannot be Charged

Not working button on xiaomi or any other smartphone could be caused by to main reason, if it is not software, it could be hardware.

If the problem come from hardware we should open the phone backdoor to fix the hardware problem, and it is recommended to send it to service center if you don't understand with what will you do, because it has high risk to give more problem to your phone.

If the problem come from software it will be different story, we can fix it by ourselves without opening the phone backdoor. We only need to install apps or flash it.

In this case I believe if my phone is doesn't have problem with the hardware, because I just leave it on table, no indication if the phone got hit by anything. But all of the phone button just not working (power button, volume up and down), I try to charge the phone but not charged, also I try to connect it to my computer by usb cable but my computer cannot detect it.

I believe if this problem can be fixed by restarting the phone, but how? The button is not working.

Fortunately my phone finger print still working, so I try to browse apps on play store and found apps called shutdown (no root).

How to use it?

1. Download shutdown (no root) from play store.

Don't worry it is no need root access, just download it as usual.

2. Set permission

You need to set permission to use this app, when first time launch the app there will be pop up as below, just give needed permission.

3. Re open app

Now try re-open the apps, you will be directly come into power button menu as below.

Just select restart, wait it, and your phone will go back to normal.
